There are two options to leverage Canvas to provide students with an attendance grade. See instructions below.
Option 1: Attendance Column
An Attendance column has already been created for your Canvas course shell. You can manually input the percentage grade into the column in the Gradebook. In addition, you can bulk manage student attendance grades in the Gradebook.Entering Attendance Downloading Attendance
Option 2: Roll Call Attendance Tool
The Attendance tool (Roll Call) can be used for taking attendance within your Canvas course(s). The Roll Call Attendance tool will display a roster of your students and you can take attendance based on the date(s) you are meeting.
For detailed information on how to use this tool visit the Canvas community page What is the Roll Call Attendance Tool?
