This page provides instructors teaching face-to-face (web-assisted) courses with the additional information needed to meet the University Core Curriculum (UCC) requirements for the upcoming term. Read below to learn how to use Canvas to fulfill these requirements.
There are two options to leverage Canvas to provide students with an attendance grade. See instructions below.
Option 1: Attendance Column
An Attendance column has already been created for your Canvas course shell. You can manually input the percentage grade into the column in the Gradebook. In addition, you can bulk manage student attendance grades in the Gradebook.

The Attendance tool (Roll Call) can be used for taking attendance within your Canvas course(s). The Roll Call Attendance tool will display a roster of your students and you can take attendance based on the date(s) you are meeting.
