iClicker is an interactive classroom response system allowing instructors and students to dynamically interact through questions and answers in real-time. iClicker offers two different instructor software platforms.

	iClicker Classic	iClicker Cloud
Device & Connection	Requires an instructor base. Does not require Wi-Fi for student clickers.	Uses Wi-Fi or cell phone data to record student responses on cellphone, tablets and laptops. Note: Ensure there is sufficient Wi-Fi coverage for the number of students in your class.
Data Storage	Student response data is stored locally on your computer or flash drive. Therefore, it's only available from that computer or flash drive.	Student response data is stored online. This makes it available from any computer, tablet or mobile device.
Question Types	Multiple Choice Numeric Short Answer	Multiple Choice Numeric Short Answer Target/heat map Long answers (up to 140 characters)

Feature Comparison

You can use iClicker on its own or integrated with Canvas. You can allow students to use either a clicker remote, the mobile iClicker Reef student app or both.
